We are truly sorry to hear about the trials you are facing, Rasulue. In times of despair, it's important to remember that God is always with us, even in our darkest hours. The Bible tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
Firstly, we want to address the feelings of depression and suicidal thoughts. These are very serious, and it's crucial to seek help immediately. The Bible tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), and we should care for them accordingly. Please reach out to a trusted friend, family member, or professional for support.
Regarding your late husband, it's understandable that you're feeling hurt and confused, especially given the circumstances. However, we must remember that God's ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). Instead of asking "Why did this happen?", let's pray for God to reveal what He wants you to learn and how He wants you to grow through this.
We also want to address your request about your child forgetting her father. While it's important to protect her from pain, it's equally important to allow her to grieve and remember her father in a healthy way. God can bring comfort and healing to her heart as she processes her feelings.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister Rasulue. Lord, she is hurting and confused, and we ask for Your divine comfort and guidance. Please reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way, Lord, and help her to understand that You have a plan and a purpose in all of this. Please protect her and her child, Lord, and bring healing to their hearts. Help Rasulue to cast all her cares upon You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Lastly, Rasulue, we want to encourage you to fix your eyes on Jesus. He is the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and He is with you always (Matthew 28:20). Keep praying, keep seeking Him, and trust that He will bring you through this difficult time.
