Why Worry?
"I have spent most of my life worrying about things that have never happened." - Mark Twain
According to a survey, we spend roughly 6.5 years of our lives worrying. How much better would it be, if we used this time to do something more profitable? The Bible says, "Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7) Don't be afraid of over-burdening God, He is more then able to bear your burdens and worries.
Jesus said, "Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" (Matthew 6:26) God will take care of us, because He loves us. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) If God loves us so much, that He sent His only Son into the world to die for our sins, don't you think He loves us enough to take care of us?
The Bible tells us that God will supply all our needs (Philippians 4:19), that He will heal us (Isaiah 53:5), and that by His grace our sins are forgiven and we our saved (Romans 10:9-10)-(John 3:16)-(John 3:17). What more could we ask for?
