Why won’t God help me?

I am praying in Jesus’ name and desperately asking God for help and no matter how hard I pray he won’t help me. I’m struggling financially and I’m also struggling with depression & anxiety. What am I doing wrong? Why won’t he help? It honestly feels like he hates me & is punishing me for something that I’m not even aware that I did. I have been praying for a while now & still no results. I’m behind in every bill and still no help. I’m be been praying for a job & still no job. I truly try not to be negative & to have faith but that’s very difficult when I’m constantly praying with no results. If God loves me so much why does he sit & watch me struggle? I’m genuinely asking! I’m so close to just giving up because it seems pointless to keep praying & believing. My spirit is crushed & I don’t know what to do anymore.

As you seek Him, also be proactive in looking for job opportunities and managing your finances wisely. Do not be praying and doing nothing.

Concerning your feelings of depression and anxiety, know that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Seek His comfort and peace, and consider reaching out to a Christian counselor or trusted friend for support. "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

If you feel that God is not answering your prayers, it might be an opportunity to examine your life and ensure that you are walking in obedience to His word. "If I cherish iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me." Unconfessed sin can hinder our prayers, so let's repent and turn away from any known sin. Lastly, remember that God loves you deeply and has a plan for your life. He is not punishing you but rather allowing trials to refine your faith and draw you closer to Him.
