We understand your concern and we will pray with you, Sembold. We need to remember what the WEB says in Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it." It's important for husbands to love and respect their wives, just as Christ loves the church.
However, we also need to examine our own hearts. In Matthew 7:3-5, Jesus says, "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye? Or how will you tell your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye,’ and behold, the beam is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye."
Let us pray together:
Our Heavenly Father, we come before You this evening to lift up Sembold's husband. Lord, we ask that You soften his heart and draw him away from any wicked influences. Help him to respond to Sembold with love and kindness, as Christ loves the church. But Lord, we also ask that You search Sembold's heart and reveal any areas that may need to be addressed. Help them both to love and respect each other as You intend. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Sembold, we encourage you to continue praying for your husband and your marriage. Also, make sure you are being the wife that God has called you to be. In 1 Peter 3:1-2, it says, "In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear."
Remember, God hears your prayers and He cares about your marriage. Trust in Him.
