We understand that you're going through a difficult time and it feels like God has not yet answered your prayers for rescue. First, let's remember that God is always with us, even in our struggles. As it says in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
In our walk with God, it's important to remember that His timeline may not always align with ours. There are many examples in the Bible where God's people had to wait for His deliverance. Consider Joseph, who waited years in prison before God elevated him to a position of power. Remember David, who was anointed king but had to wait many years before he actually took the throne, running for his life in the meantime. There are many examples, but the most important example is Jesus. God rescued us through Jesus and that is the most powerful example of God's rescue. In John 3:17 it says, For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
We might pray for rescue and not see immediate results, but what if God is working on something bigger and better for us? God sees the whole picture, and His ways are higher than our ways. As it says in Isaiah 55:8-9, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." So let's trust in His perfect plan, believing in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
God is also interested in our spiritual growth. Sometimes, He allows us to go through trials to strengthen our faith and draw us closer to Him. Romans 5:3-4 tells us, "Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope".
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in need of rescue. Lord, we know that You see their situation and that You are working for their good. We may not understand why we have to wait. We may not understand why You haven't rescued us yet, but Lord, we trust in Your perfect plan. We trust in Your timing. We ask for Your grace, Your strength, and Your peace to sustain us as we wait. We ask for Your will to be done. We ask for Your rescue in Jesus' name, for it is by Jesus' name that we have access to You. It is by Jesus' name that we are saved. Amen.
Keep praying and keep trusting.
