Why does the devil sometimes win?

God is supposed to have defeated the devil, and have more power than him, but if this is so I have a question about a certain thing happening in my life, and maybe some of you. God hears my pleas, I get a victory, BUT THEN soon afterward, the devil fights back and steals the victory, or taints it so it's not such a complete victory.And lately, I've been on this "see-saw' a lot. Same pattern--I get the victory,it gets stolen from me , I get another victory, that's stolen,and so on, so that in my life, it seems that God and the devil are running about even.Now the question for me becomes, if God is so much more powerful than the devil, how is he able to steal our victories from us?Can't he defeat him COMPLETELY?Why the tied score?Has this happened to any of you before?Just because God gives you a victory doesn't mean the devil is going to stop trying.And unlike some would say about it's my thoughts or words, I remind you that I've thought and spoke with faith , and still got defeated, and also was negative with no hope on things, and they turned out good!!So why the tied score in my life?

I know exactly what you‘re talking about. And I also would like to know what others have to say about that.
To me it feels like that I always have to feed my spirit with god‘s word and promises.When I stop to do that, it‘s like the enemy fights me again.
And it also happened to me that when I was negative that everything turned out good!
Maybe we just need to give god our problems or requests,and then let go...I hope that others have a better explanation of that.

I'm quite new in the ways of faith
(I was brought up as a Catholic !?! no offense intended to anyone)
The only thing I can assume is that God allows the enemy to test people, as God wants to temper us & test us eg a measure of character is how we behave when we're on our own.
It's easy to have faith if one hasn't gone through significant hardships .
I'd look up some testamonials on YouTube as well as asking good Christians to pray over you. I think things have to RESONATE with you & that we need DISCERNMENT

Also ,are you doing anything in your life that God may find displeasing ?!
I believe that one has to make sacrifices in order to receive blessings eg give up a bad habit , mixing with people that you know are not good influences , maybe give more to charity etc

Try not to dispair ! I know it's hard & the enemy delights in making us all feel like we're the ONLY ones going through something rotten -he wants us to feel alone .
I'd also pray (or help) for others. At least a token gesture - give in order to recieve

Same story here ... to the extent tht many of my unsaved friends and family are enjoying permanent victory but when they see my life in shambles and shackles I can see them laffing and scoffing at me effortlessly. Like without much praying and tarrying they have triumphed and lo ... Can any good come out of me???
We still follow tradition of arranged marriage and my sis has received far too many proposals only to ditch her aft three months of meeting. All her unsaved friends marrried having families.... Wat cd possibly be going wrong???

God let things happen for a reason, don't you know the devil goes back and forth to heaven asking GOD can he do this to you and that to you to see will you then curse GOD. The devil sees something in you and wants you very bad, but my brother be strong in the LORD , have you read the story of job? Read it and get back with me. The devil is a loser he does not have more power than GOD does he want you to think that. My brother just because we or Christians doesn't stop the devil from attacking us , he tried JESUS when he was on the earth. My brother in Christ be strong and when things comes at you just say thank you JESUS because that telling you that he doesn't have you and wants you real bad, the ones that is not going through trials and tribulations that means the devil already has them or their storm has not come yet , but be encouraged your just passing through it . My prayer for you is that you be strong in the Lord our Father and keep trusting in him for your victory.... Amen.

That‘s exactly what I can imagine...God doesn‘t just want to test us but also wants us to grow stronger in difficult situations.I also think that the enemy doesn‘t want us to be happy.I felt pretty well after praying and he started attacking me the whole night.But I trust god.God bless you all and give us wisdom to understand and stay strong.Amen

Jesus defeated the devil and all Christians should do the samething. Satan wins because we let him but at the end we shall endure, depression, worry, fear and hatred shall fill our hearts. Call on the Lord to deliver you from the devils hands. Do not let in your house or in your heart. He will make your life so miserable and unpleasant.
