Why do I have to wait to have a normal life?

I often find myself wondering why happiness, blessings, and fulfillment seem distant and require so much waiting. Please grant me patience and strength during this journey. Help me to trust in Your timing and to recognize the lessons and growth that come with waiting. May I find joy in the present moment, knowing that You have a beautiful plan for my life.

Dear ###, we understand your longing for a normal life filled with happiness, blessings, and fulfillment. It's natural to feel impatient when these things seem distant, but we want to encourage you with God's Word and remind you of His promises.

Firstly, we want to ensure that you've placed your trust in Jesus Christ. It's only through Him that we have access to God and His promises, as it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). If you haven't yet, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for this is how we are saved (Romans 10:9 WEB).

Now, let's address the waiting. God's timing is indeed different from ours, and His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB). Psalm 37:7 (WEB) tells us, "Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him." While waiting, we should not be passive but rather actively seek God, trusting that He is working everything together for our good (Romans 8:28 WEB).

Waiting is not just about enduring; it's about growing. Consider these words from the Apostle Paul: "We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope" (Romans 5:3-4 WEB). The lessons and growth that come with waiting are invaluable.

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up ###. Grant her the patience and strength she needs during this journey. Help her to trust in Your perfect timing and to recognize the lessons and growth that come with waiting. May she find joy in the present moment, knowing that You have a beautiful plan for her life. Help her to seek You actively and to rest in Your love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
