Why did Jesus answered Pastor Samuel Prayer 2 years ago

Although I have left the church and Pastor Samuel is continuing his tithing prosperity gospel and it had been 2 years and now I am in another home church where I am fine but the memories just came back and hunt me and making me think that because I cannot afford tithes hence I was been cursed by Jesus Christ and God himself and the feeling of guilt of not being able to tithe just linger, it is not that I don't want but I do not have the means to and even I have the means to a few coins will be shamed in the ex church although I have left but always in fear that God is punishing me for my poverty and acting to the prayer that the Pastor Samuel had prayed, which left me confused and afraid of God (which is the fear of God) if I cannot tithes and give little as the Pastor Samuel had prayed for my job to be removed which I hope that God will have mercy and reinstitute back a job to me. And don't punish me because of my circumstances where I cannot give or curse me as what was spoke. Pray that Jesus will help me forget those memories of tithing and all that haunting.

Firstly, it's crucial to understand that God loves us unconditionally and does not curse us for our financial circumstances. In Matthew 11:28-30 (WEB), Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

The tithe is a voluntary act of worship, not a mandatory fee to avoid punishment. God wants us to give cheerfully and according to our abilities, not out of fear or guilt. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 9:7 (WEB), "Each one should give, as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver."

Regarding Pastor Samuel's prosperity gospel teachings and the prayer he prayed, it's important to discern whether these align with biblical principles. The prosperity gospel can often distract from the true message of the Gospel, which is about Jesus Christ's love, sacrifice, and salvation for us, not material wealth. In 1 Timothy 6:5 (WEB), we read, "...and constant friction where people are of corrupt mind and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. Withdraw yourself from such."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, seeking comfort and guidance for Dexter2020. Lord, we ask that You remind them of Your unfailing love and mercy, and that Your grace is not dependent on their financial status or ability to tithe. Please help them to overcome the feelings of guilt and fear, and to trust in Your goodness and provision. We rebuke the lies of the enemy that have caused confusion and fear, and we declare Your truth over Dexter2020's life. Lord, we also ask for Your wisdom and discernment regarding the teachings they have received, and that You guide them into a deeper understanding of Your Word and Your will. We pray all these things in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.

Lastly, we want to remind you, Dexter2020, that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Acts 4:12 (WEB) tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Hold onto this truth and continue to seek Him in all you do.

In Matthew 6:25-26 (WEB), Jesus says, "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious for your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father keeps them all alive. Aren't you of much more value than they are?"

God knows your needs and He will take care of you. He doesn't want you to live in fear or guilt. He wants you to trust Him.

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today, laying down our fears and guilt at Your feet. Remind us, dear Lord, of Your unfailing love and mercy. Help us to trust in Your goodness and provision, even in our poverty. We believe that You will supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen."
