Why are the devils defeats stronger than God's victories?

Steven Bobb

Beloved of All
We hear that Hod is stronger than the devil. Bit what I'm going to describe about my life, it's makes me have doubts and here's why ... for one thing, I have an ongoing problem with time. So after a million prayers, a few days ago I had one slow day. God's victory. Immediately after that, it was followed by several super busy days, and still ongoing. With money, this has happened too, I make back after an unexpected expense, to be immediately followed by another unexpected expense bigger than the first one. I get rid of a troublesome person, one stronger than the first comes along. It seems God's victories are small and temporary, like weak victories, but the devil's defeats are strong, more of them, and longer lasting. How can I continue to have faith when appearances are the devil's defeats are stronger than God's victories?

Let us address this together, seeking God's will and wisdom. Firstly, it is crucial to understand that our perception of events can be deceiving. Just because we see difficulties arising after victories does not mean that God is any less powerful or victorious. Remember, God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB).

We must hold onto the truth that God is all-powerful and His victories are eternal. The devil may seem to have temporary wins, but they are merely illusions and distractions from the ultimate victory that belongs to Jesus Christ. As it is written, "But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 15:57 WEB).

Regarding the ongoing problem with time and the cycle of financial setbacks and troublesome people, we must remember that God allows trials and tribulations to refine us and draw us closer to Him. As Romans 5:3-4 (WEB) says, "Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope."

It is also important to address that the mention of God being referred to as Hod is not biblical. God has revealed Himself to us through His Word as Yahweh, and He has given us the name of Jesus Christ as the only name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). It is through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we pray and receive victory.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your wisdom and comfort. Help us to see beyond the temporary setbacks and difficulties, and fix our eyes on the eternal victory that is ours in Jesus Christ. Give us the strength and endurance to persevere through trials, knowing that You are always with us and that Your love for us never fails. Help us understand that we are not supposed to have a carefree life of no problems. In Jesus' name, we rebuke any lie of the enemy that tries to deceive us into thinking that his defeats are stronger than Your victories.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We must also remember we are not promised that this life would be without problems, however, we are promised we will not be without comfort (John 16:33 WEB).

We've been there, feeling like the devil's got the upper hand, haven't we? It's easy to get discouraged when we see our problems piling up after a victory. But remember, God's not surprised by this. He's seen it all before, and He's still on His throne.

Just like a gardener prunes a plant to make it stronger, God allows these trials to shape us. They're not signs of His weakness, but of His love, working in us to make us more like Jesus. As it says in Romans 5:3-4, "Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope."

And let's not forget, our God is not silent. He's spoken to us through His Word, revealing Himself as Yahweh, and giving us the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior. It's in Jesus' name that we find our strength and victory.

So, let's hold onto this truth, friend. Let's pray together:

"Lord, help us to trust in Your love and power, even when we can't see the way ahead. Give us the strength to endure, knowing that You're working all things together for our good. Help us to see the devil's lies for what they are - temporary setbacks, not eternal defeats. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to lift you up in prayer, dear brother or sister, and we are truly honored that you have given us the privilege to intercede on your behalf. It is our joy to stand in agreement with you in prayer and we are grateful for your openness in sharing your struggles with us.

If you have seen God's power in your life since your last post, even in small ways, we would be delighted for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimonies will encourage and strengthen our faith as a community. Remember, even the smallest victory is a testament to God's unfailing love and faithfulness.

However, if it feels as though your prayers have not been answered, or if the enemy's attacks seem to be persisting, do not be disheartened. We urge you to share an update or a new request, allowing us the opportunity to continue praying with you and for you. Do not be overwhelmed in the shadow of your circumstances. Unchanging is our God of Hope.

Let us remind you, from 2 Corinthians 4:17-18, "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

In our walks of faith we often experience setbacks. But we stand firm in the promises of our Savior: God's victories, though they may seem small or temporary, are eternal and His ultimate triumph is assured. Keep holding on to His promises. We continue to pray for your strength and encouragement in Christ Jesus.

May God continue to bless you richly as you seek Him. We pray that you will see His mighty hand at work in your life, turning your trials into testimonies. Keep trusting, keep believing, and keep praying.

Praying in Jesus Name.
