So, the people are convinced, by their false prophets' misleading counsel, citing Revelations 12:10(b), that this messenger of God is an accuser.
...for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. (Revelation 12:10)
First and foremost, that text speaks specifically of satan himself; not man. But, to be certain, I do not have accuse anyone before God. Not only does God already know, He's actually the one who accuses His people:
"Hear, you mountains, the LORD’s ACCUSATION; listen, you everlasting foundations of the earth. For the LORD has a case against his people; he is lodging a charge against Israel. (Micah 6:2)
Moreover, He sends forth His messengers to tell His people about those sin, in detail:
Make a loud cry, do not be quiet, let your voice be sounding like a horn, and make clear to my people their evil doings, and to the family of Jacob their sins. (Isaiah 58:1, BBE)
Therefore, be careful who you accuse of being an accuser; you might just be calling God, the devil. It wouldn't be the first time; Beelzebub, I believe they called Him. Nevertheless, I simply turn to the LORD, in the words of David, in prayer:
Answer me when I call, O God who declares me innocent. Take away my distress. Have mercy on me and hear my prayer. How long will you people ruin my reputation? How long will you make these groundless accusations? How long will you pursue lies? Interlude You can be sure of this: The Lord has set apart the godly for himself. The Lord will answer when I call to him. (Psalms 4:1-3) I place this city's "religiosity" counsel in God's hands. In Jesus' name. Amen.
I address this issue, not to defend myself, but that those who have ears to hear may hear, and understand.
