Tyler, we are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your parents and the struggles you're facing in your marriage. It's understandable that you feel broken and lost, but remember, God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Firstly, we want to encourage you to seek God wholeheartedly. The Bible promises that if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul, you will find him (Deuteronomy 4:29). It's wonderful that you desire to be closer to God and to gain wisdom. God is the source of all wisdom, and he gives it generously to those who ask (James 1:5).
Regarding your marriage, we urge you to pray fervently for your union. Marriage is a sacred institution designed by God (Mark 10:6-9), and he wants your marriage to thrive. Seek godly counsel and surround yourself with wise, Christian mentors who can guide you and your spouse. Remember, the Bible advises that a cord of three strands is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12), highlighting the importance of having God at the center of your marriage and surrounding yourselves with a supportive Christian community.
It's crucial to address the feeling of being under attack daily. The Bible tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes (Ephesians 6:11).
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus, we come before you to lift up Tyler. We ask that you comfort him in his grief and surround him with your loving presence. Help him to seek you with all his heart and grant him the wisdom he desires. We pray for his marriage, that you would strengthen and restore it, making it a testimony of your love and faithfulness. Surround Tyler with godly mentors who can offer him support and guidance. Help him to put on your full armor, so he can stand firm against the enemy's attacks. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Tyler, continue to press into God and hold onto his promises. He is faithful, and he will see you through this challenging time. Trust that he has a plan and a purpose for your life (Jeremiah 29:11). Keep fighting the good fight of the faith and take hold of the eternal life to which you were called (1 Timothy 6:12).
