Who delights in the Lord?

When the night in darkness veiled, it is so obscure this solitary trail before me. This road is hard to run, my soul complains, so weary of the toil and pain in my bones. Yet, trudging on through this barren land, no aid in sight from anyone I see. Then, Jesus shining light appeared before me, I marvelled at the sight of the brightness of His presence.

You turned my darkness into light.
I am so amazed at the sight.
Your brightness blinds my eyes.
You made everything right.
Picking me up.
I was down and out.
My life was turned around.
I did not have anyone around.
Where should I go?
What should I be?
When I needed the most.
Jesus was right there for me.
I am so grateful.
I shall forever praise Him.
My delight shall be in Him alone.

Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy, and I will praise You with the lyre. You are my God.
Psalm 43.4

I love Psalm 42 and 43. God has spoken many times to me through them and given me perspective on how short our life is here on the earth in comparison to the eternity we will spend with Him!

I am delighting in the Lord when I read His word, when I pray and when I visit the sick in hospitals and nursing homes. Nurses have a heart to hear the needs of patients who are forgotten by their families.
