Who are the meek?

Those who love the Lord with all their heart, mind and soul are meek and merciful toward others, just as Jesus was. He was not easily provoked or irritated. He was forbearing under injury and annoyance. Jesus was not weak, He was strong, mighty and loving in the world He delivered.

But the meek shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Jesus life and actions tell us that He was meek and loving toward others. We should act the same way as He did, then blessings, help and grace shall come to our life.

Meekness in Biblical terms implies mercy and self restrain Meekness can be used in a positive or negative way. When used negatively it means to be overly submissive. The positive sense of meekness describes someone who is patient and restrained This person is able to remain calm even when he is being provoked. When a person is meek he is docile and is easily imposed on.
In the Bible Jesus was the ultimate example of meekness yet He was not a push over.Moses too was described as in comparable. meek.Yet he struck the rock and said "Drink ye rebels".If we examine certain senarios in the Bible one could come to the conclusion that meekness is a controlled strength that put everything in God's hands. Meekness walks hand in hand with humility snd it always puts others first. A meek person is open to reasoning and is peaceable. James 3 &17.Meakness does not mean that you are coward and weak. When you are meek you trust God for justice..You can take swipes at a person and he takes it in strides..There is a popular secular song which says "Dont take my meekness for weakness"
A good chapter in the Bible which best describes a meek person is 1 Corinthians Chapter 13.For example a meak person is not rude, not boastful.,not easily provoked, not easily angry and always try to persevere.Blessed are the meek.As Christians let us try to cultivate and develop the fruits of the spirit..

The meek are those who believe in Jesus Christ and keep his commandments. meekness isn't weak people as I've heard before it's those who are obedient to Christ and follow truth even if truth seems bad to people of the world! We are not of the world, and people don't like that or don't understand. They will say we are hypocrites, but we aren't or at least as long as we're living truth we aren't. Biblical definition of Hypocrite is on that only hears the word but never does anything by it. Truth is love, and all the fruits of the spirit, but it's also liberty Exousia not power but liberty.
But yeah the meek are obedient to Christ even if the world doesn't like it. We're obedient even if were told not to be, we follow God not man!
