"WHERE IS YOUR GOD?" SOMEONE ASKED YOU (DO NOT WORRY). You say, "My tears have been my food , day and night, while men say to me , "Where is your God?" (Psalm 42:3, 10). They say, "It is futile to serve God, what did we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the Lord Almighty? But now we call the arrogant blessed, certainly the evil doers prosper, and even those who challenge God escape" (Malachi 3:13-15). But we say, "Though I have fallen, I will rise, though I sit in darkness, God will be my Light. Because I have sinned against him, I will bear God's wrath until he pleads my case and establishes my right. He will bring me out into the light, I will see his Righteousness. Then my enemy will see it and will be covered in shame, she who said to me, "Where is the Lord your God?" My eyes will see her dowfall" (Micah 7:8-10). And God says, "Surely, the Day is coming, it will burn like a furnace, all the arrogant and every evil doer will be stubble, and that Day that is coming, will set them on fire, not a root or branch will be left to them" (Malachi 4:1). And all the righteous will be spared as God says, "They will be mine, in the day I make up my treasured possession , I will spare them just as in compassion, a man spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who are not" (Malachi 3:17-18). "Then you will tremple down the wicked, they will be ashes under the souls of your feet on the day I do these things" says God Almighty (Malachi 4:2-3). Now, as Christians, let us be strengthened in this, knowing that God will never leave us nor forsake us. He saves us from the coming wrath of God. (Zephaniah 1:14-18). Let us give glory to God in our suffering for Christ Jesus so that we might share in his glory at his coming. (James 5:7-11). Let's pray: 'O' God, our maker, in your mercy, give us Christ's perserverance, encouragement and endurance to remember to give glory to God in our challenges and to trust in God for deliverance. In Jesus Christ name we pray Amen and Amen.
