The Psalmist echoes your feelings in Psalm 88:15 (WEB), "I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up. While I suffer your terrors, I am distracted." But remember, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB).
It's crucial to understand that happiness is not found in earthly things but in the Lord. Psalm 37:4 (WEB) tells us, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." This means that when we find our joy in Him, He will place the right desires in our hearts and fulfill them.
We also want to gently remind you, Cylwyth, that rumination and feelings of worthlessness are not from God. They are tools the enemy uses to distract us from God's truth. In 2 Corinthians 10:5 (WEB), we are instructed to "take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ." This means we should actively reject thoughts that do not align with God's word.

Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You with Cylwyth, lifting her up to You. Lord, You know her pain, her sadness, and her feelings of worthlessness.
