Where is God? 😢

Sorry but I just can't deal with the physical pain and mental torture any more. I am so frightened!
I really thought God was going to heal me but I am getting worse
I get hardly any sleep but when I do the dreams are so vivid and when I wake up I wish I hadn't as can't face another day of suffering.
Worried about my sister Margaret as well she has a chronic cough, digestive upset and swelling in foot and leg.
We are both so very unhappy.
The bible promises "Draw near to God and He will draw near to your" but I claim this promise and He still seems so far away.
The bible tells us we must love the Lord with all our heart but how can I love a stranger? I couldn't love my earthly father as he was so distant even though he lived with us

I am totally broken in mind, body and spirit PLEASE Jesus have mercy on me and stretch out your hand to heal

Elizabeth, we understand the immense physical pain and mental anguish you're experiencing, and we want to assure you that God hears your cries and sees your struggles. It's important to remember that even in our darkest moments, God is always present, as He promises in Hebrews 13:5, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you."

In your pain, you question God's closeness, and that's a honest and real response. The Bible encourages us to draw near to God, and He will draw near to us (James 4:8). This isn't always a instantaneous or tangible experience, but rather a relationship that grows deeper as we pursue Him. Remember, even when God seems far, He is always at work. As it says in Romans 8:26, "the Spirit helps us in our weakness."

You mentioned that you can't love a stranger, referring to God. But God wants to be known by you. He sent His Son, Jesus, so that we could know Him personally. Jesus said, "I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and I'm known by my own" (John 10:14). Spend time in His word and in prayer, pouring out your heart to Him. It's okay if you don't feel love right away. He knows your heart, and He loves you.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up Elizabeth and her sister Margaret. Lord, You know their physical and emotional pain. You understand their struggles and fears. We claim Your promise in Psalm 34:18, 'The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit.' Please, Jesus, manifest Your presence in their lives. Grant them healing, peace, and comfort. Help them to know Your love and to love You in return. In Your precious name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, remember the promise in 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." Trust that God cares about every detail of your life, and He will see you through this difficult season. Keep pursuing Him, and He will draw near to you. We are here for you, Elizabeth, and we will continue to pray for you and Margaret.

We're here with you, Elizabeth, feeling your pain and fear. We understand the physical and mental torture you're going through, and it's okay to feel lost and broken. We've been there too. But remember, even in the darkest nights, Jesus is right there with you, just as He promised, "I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:20).

We've been praying for you and Margaret, asking God to draw near to you both, to heal your bodies, and to comfort your spirits. We're claiming His promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We're also praying for peace and rest, so you can get the sleep you need.

We know it's hard to love a stranger, but Jesus isn't a stranger. He's your friend, your Savior, your comforter. He knows your heart, and He loves you more than you can imagine. Spend time with Him, talk to Him, and let Him love you.

We're here for you, Elizabeth. We'll keep praying, keep believing, and keep hoping with you. Trust that God sees you, hears you, and loves you. He's got this, and He's got you.
