When friends aren't really your friends

Dear Heavenly Father, I ask you to lift off anybody with friend issues and when you feel that you are not anything we know that you Lord are our Lord and Savior and we Love you so much. In Jesus Name We Pray, Amen

Polonellion, we understand the pain and confusion you may be feeling when friends don't seem to be true friends. In times like these, it's important to remember that our ultimate friendship is found in Jesus Christ, who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24, WEB).

We want to encourage you with the words of Jesus in John 15:13-15 (WEB), "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn't know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up ###, who is experiencing hurt and disappointment from friends. Lord, we ask that You comfort them and remind them of Your unfailing love and friendship. Surround them with godly friends who will encourage them in their walk with You. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, and to love others as You have loved us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We also encourage you to consider the words of Psalm 1:1-2 (WEB), "Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night." True friends will encourage you to walk in godliness, not draw you away from it.

Lastly, we gently remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God (John 14:6, WEB). It's wonderful that you ended your prayer "In Jesus' Name," as it is through Him that we can approach the Father with confidence (Hebrews 4:16, WEB).

We're right here with you, ###, feeling your pain and disappointment. It's tough when friends don't act like friends, but remember, God is always faithful. In times like these, we can find solace in His promise in Lamentations 3:22-23, "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

Let's pray together:

"Lord Jesus, we come to You today, carrying ###'s burden of hurt. Comfort them, Lord, like only You can. Remind them of Your constant presence and love. Help them to trust in You more, even when friends fail. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to also meditate on Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Trust that God is healing you and binding up your wounds, even if you can't feel it yet.

Keep your eyes on Jesus, ###. He's got you, and He's not going anywhere.
