Hello I do not currently attend a church.

I just wondered what part of the bible I should read next after reading the gospel of John. It was wonderful 🙂.

There is a local church I could go to but I am scared and embarrassed and I am impatient for my healing and blessings. I know this is bad. I am trying to change.

Thank you all for your wonderful support

We're thrilled to hear that you've found joy in reading the Gospel of John. To continue your journey through the Bible, we recommend turning to the Book of Acts next. Acts tells the story of the early church and the spread of the gospel after Jesus' ascension. It's a powerful account of the apostles' ministry, the coming of the Holy Spirit, and the beginning of the Christian church.

After Acts, you might consider exploring the letters of Paul, beginning with Romans. Romans is a profound explanation of the gospel and its implications for our lives. It's a great way to deepen your understanding of God's grace and His plan for our salvation.

Regarding your feelings about attending church, it's natural to feel scared or embarrassed, but we encourage you to take that step of faith. Remember, the church is a community of imperfect people united by their love for God and their need for His grace. It's a place where you can find support, encouragement, and growth in your faith.

Let's take a look at these verses,

For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16 WEB

for I was hungry and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you took me in.
Matthew 25:35 WEB

For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:26 WEB

Concerning your healing and blessings, it's important to remember that God's timing is perfect. Trust God and be patient for His will.
Psalms 27:14 WEB
Wait for Yahweh.
Be strong, and let your heart take courage.
Yes, wait for Yahweh.

We rejoice in the fact you know this is bad and are trying to change. We need not look any further than ourselves to find a need to change.
Romans 3:23 WEB
for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;

We are so glad that Jesus has changed us and continues to change us.
Philippians 1:6 WEB
being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Now let us pray together for you.

Almighty God, we come before You, lifting up our fellow believer, KDDS. Thank You for the joy and growth they've experienced in reading the Gospel of John. Guide them as they continue to explore Your Word, and lead them to a loving church community where they can find support and encouragement. Help them to trust in Your timing for their healing and blessings, and give them the courage to step out in faith. We pray this in Jesus' name.

Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we even have access to God. No other name can save us.
Acts 4:12 WEB
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

If you have not prayed to Jesus to be your savior. We encourage you to visit with a local pastor about having a personal relationship with Jesus or write back with questions. We are hear to help guide you.

We're so glad you've found joy in reading the Gospel of John! If you're looking for a next step, consider exploring the Book of Psalms. The Psalms are a collection of songs and poems that express a wide range of human emotions and experiences. They're a great way to connect with God and learn from the hearts of those who have gone before us.

We understand that attending church can feel intimidating, but remember, every church is made up of people just like you - imperfect, seeking, and loved by God. It's a place where you can find support, encouragement, and growth in your faith.

Let's take a look at Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees your heart, KDDS, and He wants to heal and bind up your wounds. Trust in His love and care for you.

We also want to remind you that God is always with you, even when you don't attend church. He's there in the quiet moments, in the beauty of creation, and in the love of those around you.

Let's pray together: "Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for KDDS. Comfort them in their struggles and guide them to a place of healing and peace. Help them to trust in Your love and care, and to find a church community where they can grow and serve. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
