'What Happens When You're Pleasing the Wrong Audience' - John 19:12

Key Thought​

Who was Pilate trying to please, God or the masses? Who were the masses trying to please, themselves or God? Who are you trying to please, yourself, your peers, or your Savior? Answering that last question is just as crucial for you as it was for the masses and for Pilate about two thousand years ago. Who you are trying to please will either consecrate you or corrupt you! So choose this day to live to please the Lord — not only is it the right way to live, but it also has eternal benefits!

Today's Prayer​

O Father in heaven, I have no idea how many days you have left for me to live on this earth. However, I do know that today, I choose to live to please you and reflect your character and grace in my life. My heart's desire is to make that same choice consciously each day. Please guard my heart against evil, arrogance, selfishness, pride, deceit, lust, or any other corrupting force Satan might use to gain a stronghold in my life or even to distract me temporarily from following you. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Shalom brethren. That is quite natural most of us have experienced that at one time or another, even the great Apostle Paul said something about the things he wants to do he does not yet the things he does not want to do he does. It is a eternal battle between our higher and lower nature, the first adam and the second Adam the Spirit of our Messiah growing in our hearts. I found it impossible for a long while as I led a great life of sin - drug addiction, sexual sin, rebellion and anti-authority, false religions and yet somehow I still kept my faith and just kept hoping beyond hope and praying scriptures over myself like this one from the book of Hosea - And I will heal their backsliding and love them freely for my anger is turned away from them. Now I am completely born again and finding it so much easier to hear and obey the Holy Spirit who dwells within all believers. I heard Messiah voice clearly last Saturday Sabbath and HE said I am His beloved child and my name is written in the book of life. Persevere you will it as you know and say, you are doing the right thing like you said keep going and praying for His precious forgiveness I just wanted to offer a word of encouragement and share my testimony. For scripture says - They overcame the wicked one by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of their Testimony and they loved not their lives unto the death.
