WHAT DO YOU BELEVE
& PROCLAIM?
So do not be ashamed to testify about our LORD, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. 2 Timothy 1:8-9
Are you proclaiming and sharing the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ as you stand for the restoration of your marriage? I could never have accomplished what the Lord called me to do, which was to pray and stand in the gap for Bob, without the power of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then the Lord called Bob and I to proclaim the Gospel of salvation, healing and marriage restoration. We have been able to proclaim that God can heal and resurrect marriages. Now you can speak personally God’s truths to others about what the Lord is doing in your life right now. The first step is transformation in your own heart. Will you choose to believe in God’s mighty power and live a life of faith? Paul said it boldly in 2 Timothy:
What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you--guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us. 2 Timothy 1:13-14
Bob had fallen into Satan's trap of sin and darkness. Your husband or wife may have taken a detour road of sin, or did you fall into a sinful lifestyle and now your spouse will not forgive you? The praise is that the Lord rescued you and now you have become the prayer warrior with the Lord Jesus Christ interceding for your marriage to be restored!
Bob was tempted, deceived and blinded by the enemy's tricks and schemes. What about your spouse? The Lord opened my own spiritual eyes and ears to the Gospel of my Lord Jesus Christ in a new, more powerful way. Has the Lord done this for you? If not ask the Lord to purify you from all unrighteousness.
Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions…Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:1, 10
This Lord’s Day let us pray for all our churches to be praying for prodigal husbands, wives, prodigal children and hurting marriages. We need to pray for all who need salvation or the many who need to make a new commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. We need to pray for a revival for all our churches in America and around the world!
Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith love and peace, along with those who call on the LORD out of a pure heart...Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. 2 Timothy 2:22, 25-26
The Lord touched and changed me from a woman who had been abused, emotionally and physically, a heart that was wounded, feeling like a failure as a wife, to becoming a bold woman of faith. I started speaking with courage, speaking the promises in the Word of God about the sanctity and the importance of marriage that is forever. After my divorce I felt like my future was hopeless, but the Lord God had a plan and purpose for my life that I could not even imagine. He touched and changed me completely, even though I had been a lukewarm Christian. Allow the Lord to do the same for you and for your marriage.
I believe that when we accept Jesus Christ as Savior of our lives, we really do not understand that He wants to be Lord of our lives, often not until we have a crisis in our lives. This may happen due to a death, an illness, a financial crisis or marriage problems, even to the point of being divorced. That is why each stander often becomes desperate and has no earthly solutions to their problems. Do not walk in fear. Instead, know the Lord is standing right there beside you, ready to reveal Himself, showing His love to you in a new, more powerful way than you have ever known Him.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKVJ)
I believe as you go to church each time you need to be a lighthouse for the sanctity of marriage for your whole church family. You have had the enemy attack you and your spouse. You are choosing to believe that nothing is too hard for your Lord to restore and to rebuild your marriage. Nothing is impossible with God.
We go to church every week learning about our Lord and Savior, about His power and His Blood. Now you are asking everyone you know to believe what the Bible teaches us literally. Your spouse has cancer of the soul and you want everyone to pray and intercede for them daily. It is a life and death situation. Your spouse must confess their sins, repent, and the Lord will touch, turn, and change their heart, which will affect their life today and also affect their eternal life forever.
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13-14
Our prayer every day, and especially every Sunday, is that our Lord God will open the sinners' hearts by His divine power and speaking His truth to them. It is the same power that created the world and raised our Lord from the dead that will touch and change a sinner's heart, hence your spouse's heart. Until the heart is opened by the power of the Holy Spirit, the Word of God will not enter. That is why you and I must pray daily for God to speak conviction, to touch and change your loved one's hardened heart. Wait on the Lord's perfect timing. You must walk in faith daily by trusting in your Lord and grow in His wisdom and knowledge as you wait.
“‘I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.’†Ezekiel 36:25-27
What a promise from God! I pray that you will become a lighthouse wherever you go, proclaiming and sharing the Gospel of your Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ died on the Cross for all sinners, which includes your spouse. Will you choose to become a witness for your Lord to your family, to co-workers and to your church family that there is Resurrection power in saving sinners from the chains of bondages by the power of the Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ?
“Lord, may You touch thousands of prodigals' hardened hearts this Lord’s Day and have a mighty harvest of souls repenting and praising Your Name. I know and believe in Your mighty power, and I pray, believing and expecting You to touch my beloved spouse today in the Name of my Lord Jesus. Amen.â€
“I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.†John 4:35
