What Are You Sowing Into Your Marriage?

WHAT ARE YOU SOWING INTO YOUR MARRIAGE?

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Galatians 6:7-8

Monday evening we had our Pompano Rejoice Bible Study one week later than usual due to Labor Day. We had a record breaking crowd, and one man accepted the Lord last night. He had a friend at work give him one of our books. To God be the glory. Do you want to attend one of our meetings? You can. Click here to listen or download our "LIVE" Bible study right now.

Will you examine your heart about what you are sowing into your marriage, your children’s hearts and lives? Think back on the past seven days. What seeds have you been sowing into your marriage? You have a choice every day to sow good seeds such as faith, hope, trust, perseverance, and tenacity into your marriage by praying God’s Word with your spouse’s name in different specific scriptures.

God is in the reconciliation business. The Lord wants to rebuild your marriage and reignite and rekindle the love and romance that has been missing in your marriage. Let me share a powerful scripture about a harvest of righteousness and peace:

Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. "Make level paths for your feet," so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed. Hebrews 12:10-13

I am living proof of this law. At first I sowed hatred, anger, bitterness and unforgiveness toward Bob and filed for divorce after his unfaithfulness. After the Lord got my attention, He started speaking to my heart that He wanted to restore our marriage. I had to repent and turn my hardened heart to my Lord to soften it with God’s unconditional agape love. I then started sowing good seeds of unconditional love and forgiveness into Bob's life whenever I was able. In God's perfect timing, I reaped our marriage being restored.

Sowing and reaping are universal laws of nature because God set them up. These laws work in all things. Whatever is sown is ultimately what is reaped. If you sow wheat, you will reap wheat. If you sow corn, you will reap corn. Ask yourself, “What am I really sowing daily?†You may be reaping more negative seeds because of your lousy attitude, your negativity, your hopelessness and your critical or negative words. Will you choose to start asking the Lord to help you be sensitive and be careful of what you are sowing every day into your life?

“As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.†Isaiah 55:10-11

I pray that you know the power of God's Word today and that you will begin sowing good seeds every day by praying scriptures for yourself, your spouse and loved ones. Do you speak words of faith and hope to others or do you speak gossip, doubt and unbelief? There is such power in sowing good seeds versus bad seeds, or are you not planting any seeds at all so that you will be unable to reap a harvest in the future?

I am sowing God's Word into people's lives around the world every day. Every Charlyne Cares has God’s Word in it. I want to sow God’s Word in your life more than my words. I am speaking marriage restoration, faith, hope and the power of our Lord God daily. I speak of God's unfailing love and His faithfulness by sending His only Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for all sinners, including your beloved spouse. Are you praying faithfully every day that your husband, or wife, or child will surrender their heart and life as they repent of all their sins?

“I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine persons who do not need to repent.†Luke 15:7

Will you join with us and sow prayers daily that divorce will be stomped out, that love in marriages will be become healthier, stronger, and divorce in churches will become non-existent? We have been sowing good seeds by having billboards across the United States since 1996. Our prayer is that we will continue to sow billboards in cities, towns and countries around the world so that marriages will reap the harvest of reconciled and restored marriages in mass numbers. If I never see this to completion, I believe it will happen, and our Lord God will get all the glory.

“My food,†said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now he harvests the crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. Thus the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true. I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor.†John 4:34-38

Your spouse is sinning against God. Your spouse will reap what they sow if they continue sowing bad seeds, living in sin, adultery, lying, drugs, alcohol, or pornography. God has not given up on their soul. He is sending many messengers to your beloved spouse to turn them from their sinful ways. That is why it is so crucial that you and I sow seeds of marriage restoration whenever and to whomever we can. Every day ask the Lord to use you to pray or speak faith, hope or marriage restoration as you may be working next to or speaking to another prodigal spouse or child. Your faithfulness will be sowing good seeds into many hearts and lives and you will reap what you are sowing. God is faithful to His Word.

Your spouse may not realize what they are sowing right now as they are blinded and deceived. They do not understand they will be reaping many bad seeds that lead to destruction, unless they repent and surrender their heart and life to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their life. That is why the Lord has you praying for your beloved spouse.

“As I have observed, those who plow evil and those who sow trouble reap it.†Job 4:8

He who sows wickedness reaps trouble. Proverbs 22:8

I believe the Lord is knocking at your heart's door for you to pray for your spouse, standing in the gap for both your spouse's salvation and for marriage restoration. Never give up on your awesome God's mighty power. Yes, God can even turn your dead, loveless, hopeless marriage into a marriage restored by God. He is standing with you, reminding you of your wedding day, your wedding vows and your covenant. Nothing is too hard for God.

It is your responsibility to sow good seeds, but the harvest is the responsibility of the Lord’s. What you are sowing today, you will reap at harvest time. Today, examine your heart and see what kind of seeds you are sowing into your husband or wife daily, weekly or monthly. Break up your unplowed ground to sow seeds of righteousness, so that you will reap blessings from your Heavenly Father, the Gardener. Read and meditate on this next scripture:

Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers righteousness on you. Hosea 10:12

Never give up on your Lord God or on your spouse's heart to be touched and transformed by the Holy Spirit!

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

Now go and sow some good seed into your spouse, children and marriage!

God bless you,
