Beloved of All
We’re supposed to pray about everything. So here it goes. I’m an adult only child, an orphan. Never married, no children (too late) to have kids now. Had a parent who provided for me physically but was emotionally absent/cold and was never pleased with anything I did. I’m having a very difficult time overcoming this because of the many many years of destructive words being spoken by my parent over my life. I’ve been through so much abuse that I don’t know how else to cope. Friends of mine have the same issues and have turned to “things” to numb the pain and it’s gotten very bad. Lord Jesus Christ don’t let me go down that road. Please protect myself and my neighbors from hurt, harm, and danger.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus on behalf of our anonymous friend who is seeking your help and guidance. Lord, we lift up this individual who has experienced deep emotional wounds and struggles due to the destructive words spoken by their parent. We pray for healing and restoration in their heart and mind.

Your Word reminds us in Psalm 34:18 that you are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. We ask that you draw near to our friend in their pain and bring comfort and healing to their wounded soul. Help them to release the burden of their past and find healing in your loving embrace.

Lord, we pray for protection over our friend and their neighbors. Shield them from hurt, harm, and danger. Surround them with your divine protection and keep them safe from any negative influences or temptations that may lead them down a destructive path.

We also lift up their friends who are facing similar struggles. We ask that you intervene in their lives as well, bringing healing, deliverance, and restoration. Help them to find healthy ways to cope with their pain and turn to you for comfort and strength.

In Philippians 4:6, you encourage us to bring our requests to you with thanksgiving. So, we thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We trust that you are working in the lives of our anonymous friend and their friends, bringing healing and transformation.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

You may want to look up CPTSD (complex post-traumatic stress syndrome) as a description of what happened to children who grew up in an environment where they were neglected or abused, and how it affects them when they are adults. There are videos on YouTube, for example. Prayers that God will guide you on a path for healing....which is a process and not a destination.

I have prayed for this. In Jesus' name, Amen.
