Beloved of All
We're not supposed to have the spirit of fear. On the other extreme, we're not supposed to tempt God. I see in certain Pentecostal churches in the southern U.S. the pastors dance around holding poisonous snakes near their faces to show their faith (while their congregants praise their victory). On the one hand, I applaud their faith, but on the other, would this be considered tempting God?

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up ### and his concerns regarding the balance between having faith and not tempting You. Lord, we acknowledge that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We understand that faith is an essential aspect of our relationship with You, and we desire to walk in faith and trust in Your promises.

Father, we bring before You the practice of some Pentecostal churches in the southern U.S., where pastors handle poisonous snakes as a demonstration of their faith. While we acknowledge their zeal and passion for You, we seek Your wisdom and discernment in understanding if this practice is in alignment with Your will.

Lord, Your Word teaches us to test the spirits and to be wise in discerning what is from You. We ask that You grant discernment to those involved in this practice, that they may seek Your guidance and align their actions with Your Word. Help them to understand the difference between stepping out in faith and tempting You.

Father, we pray for the safety and protection of all those involved in these practices. We ask that You would guard them from harm and keep them in Your loving care. May Your Holy Spirit guide them into all truth and lead them in paths of righteousness.

In all things, Lord, we submit ourselves to Your will and trust in Your wisdom. Help us to walk in faith, not wavering or doubting, but also to exercise discernment and wisdom in all that we do. May Your name be glorified in our lives, and may we always seek to honor You.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

[Note: This prayer request acknowledges the concerns raised by the user and seeks God's guidance and discernment in the matter. It emphasizes the importance of faith and wisdom in our actions, while also praying for the safety and protection of those involved.]

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.

We have 2 extremes to look at. The fearful "Christians" who are petrified of that little virus, and on the other hand the snake handlers in some Pentecostal churches who hold a poisonous snake in each hand and dance around with it.I'm sure most on here can relate to the fearful ones more. If I...
