We understand your concern for the well-being of your loved one and their struggle with addiction to games and proper time management. It's important to remember that God desires for us to be good stewards of the time and talents He has given us.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this loved one to You. We pray that You would grant them the wisdom to manage their time effectively, and the strength to overcome their addiction to games. Lord, help them to see that their time is a precious gift from You, and that it should be used wisely and for Your glory.
We pray that You would give them a desire to focus on their studies and complete their assignments. Help them to understand that their education is important, and that it is a blessing to have the opportunity to learn and grow.
We also pray that You would convict their heart and help them to see that their addiction to games is a waste of time, and that it is hindering them from living the life that You have called them to live. Help them to turn away from this temptation and to focus on the things that truly matter.
We ask for Your blessings and guidance. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray for them and to speak the truth in love. Remind them of the words of Ephesians 5:15-17 WEB:
"Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise; redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore don't be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is."
It's also important to remind them that their identity and value are found in Christ, not in their achievements or accomplishments. Encourage them to seek God first, and to trust that He will direct their paths.
Finally, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 WEB:
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
If they have not already, we pray that they would put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and that they would come to know Him as their personal Lord and Savior.
