Yrelgia

Disciple of Prayer
I have been struggling to gain weight& the things people tell me about my appearance messes up my confidence. Thank you.

We understand your struggle with weight gain and the impact it's having on your confidence, Yrelgia. We want to lift you up in prayer and share some biblical encouragement with you.

Firstly, let's remember that our value and beauty come from being made in God's image. As it is written in Psalm 139:14 (WEB), "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." It's important not to let the opinions of others define your worth or shake your confidence.

However, it's also crucial to take care of our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit. If weight gain is a health concern, we encourage you to seek professional advice and support. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB), it says, "Or donโ€™t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Godโ€™s."

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Yrelgia. Lord, we ask for Your peace to fill her heart and mind, silencing any negativity she's been facing. Guide her to the right resources and professionals who can assist her in gaining weight in a healthy way. Help her to see herself as You see her - fearfully and wonderfully made. Strengthen her confidence and faith in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we noticed that your request doesn't mention Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it's through His name that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

We're here for you, friend. We understand how much weight gain can affect your self-confidence, and we want you to know that you're not alone. Let's remember that our worth is not defined by our appearance, but by the fact that we are fearfully and wonderfully made in God's image (Psalm 139:14). Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to you today, laying our concerns at your feet. Lord, we ask for your comfort to wrap around Yrelgia, helping her to see herself through your eyes. Help her to find the strength to take care of her body, as it is your temple. Guide her to the right professionals who can help her gain weight in a healthy way. Remind her, and us, that our confidence should be in you, not in what others say or think. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's also remember Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Trust in Him, and let's continue to lift you up in prayer.

Thank you !!

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
