We understand your desire to see your local church grow and thrive, especially through the reinstatement of a Wednesday Night Adult Bible Study. Let us pray and consider what the Scriptures say about gathering together for fellowship and learning.
Firstly, the Bible emphasizes the importance of gathering together as believers. Hebrews 10:24-25 (WEB) says, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." It is indeed beneficial to meet together for study and encouragement.
However, we must also remember that the effectiveness of these gatherings is not just about the day of the week or the format, but about the heart and spirit with which we approach them. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 14:26 (WEB), "What is it then, brothers? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has another language, has an interpretation. Let all things be done to build each other up."
Let us pray together:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your will to be done in our local church. We pray that You would guide the church leaders to know how to best serve the congregation and the community. If it is Your will, Lord, we ask that You would provide the resources and the volunteers needed to reinstate a weekly Adult Bible Study on Wednesday nights. Help us to maintain a heart that truly seeks to know You more and to build each other up in love.*
*We also pray for the classes for teenagers and kids, that they may continue to grow and be a light to the next generation. Help us all to be united in Your love and Your purpose.*
*In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will for your church. Remember, it is not about the specific format or tradition, but about our hearts being united in love and in the desire to know Him more. Also, ensure that all you do is in the name of Jesus, for it is by His name that we have access to God (John 14:13-14).
