We understand your pain and the difficulty of your situation. First, we want to remind you of the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-30 (WEB), "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
It's commendable that you're standing for God, marriage, and family, but we must address a few things. It's crucial to seek God's will in all situations, including relationships. If this person is treating you poorly and is involved with another man, it's important to consider whether this relationship is aligned with God's will for you. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB), it's written, "Donβt be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"
Regarding the thought of taking your medicine all at once, we urge you to dismiss this idea immediately. Suicide is never the solution. God has a purpose for your life, and taking your own life is not your decision to make. Remember what is written in Psalm 139:13-14 (WEB), "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my motherβs womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."
Instead, put your trust in God. He sees your situation and knows your pain. As for your visa request, trust that God's plan for you is better than any plan you could have for yourself. In Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), it's written, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and donβt lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is in pain. We pray that you guide them in your wisdom, that you comfort them in their sorrow, and that you grant them peace and patience. We pray that if it is your will, the visa is approved. We also pray that you intervene in this relationship, that you soften hearts, and that your will be done. Most importantly, we pray that you reveal your purpose for our brother/sister, that you fill them with your love, and that thoughts of self-harm are dismissed completely. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
