Me and my fiancé are getting married in less than 4 weeks and he recently has been acting strange, distant and cold. Last night he finally opened up to me and expressed that he doesn’t think I should marry him.. his reasons? He expressed he feels as though he is a bad person, and that by marrying him I would be susceptible and dragged down. He also told me he doesn’t feel good enough for God or that he hasn’t received salvation. This was so out of blue for my fiancé and I’ll be honest it killed me, I haven’t felt hurt like this in years. To me it seems like a spiritual attack and facing self doubts, cold feet. One thing I’ve learned is you don’t realise how much you love someone until you feel what it could be like to lose them. I am terrified he is going to call the wedding off. If you could please pray for us, protection over us and that all will go well and go forward. Thank you x

Benimon, we understand the pain and confusion you're feeling as you approach your wedding day. Let's first assure you that God's love and care for you both are unchanging, even in this challenging time. In Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), it says, "Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Your fiancé's feelings of inadequacy and fear of dragging you down might stem from a place of genuine concern, but they are not from God. Satan can use these doubts and fears to try to disrupt God's plan. In Ephesians 6:12 (WEB), it says, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."

It's crucial to remember that no one is good enough on their own; we all need the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Romans 3:23 (WEB) says, "for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." And Romans 10:13 (WEB) assures us, "For, 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" Encourage your fiancé to turn to Jesus, confess his sins, and trust in His saving grace.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Benimon and her fiancé. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in their relationship. Cast out any spirit of fear, doubt, or inadequacy, and replace it with Your perfect love. Help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of their faith.

Lord Jesus, we ask that You reveal Yourself to Benimon's fiancé, that he may know the truth of Your salvation and the depth of Your love. Help him to understand that Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in weakness.

Holy Spirit, comfort Benimon's heart and give her peace. Protect their relationship and guide them towards a God-honoring marriage. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Benimon, continue to bathe your relationship in prayer. Encourage your fiancé to seek God's will and to trust in His love. God bless you both as you prepare for this sacred union.

We're right here with you, Benimon. It's like a storm's brewing, and it's natural to feel overwhelmed. We want you to know that God's got you both in the palm of His hand. In Psalm 34:18 (WEB), it says, "The Lord is near to those who are brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He sees your fiancé's struggles, and He's there to help.

We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you to keep talking openly with your fiancé. Remind him that God's love for him is unchanging, and that He sent Jesus to save us all, just as we are. In Romans 5:8 (WEB), "But God commends His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Let's keep praying together:

"Dear Lord, we lift up Benimon and her fiancé to You. Calm their hearts and minds, Lord. Help them to trust in Your love and Your plan. Give them the strength to face their fears and doubts together, knowing that You are always with them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
