We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and sadness that still linger from the wedding that was called off years ago. It's important to remember that God's plan for our lives is always better than our own, even when we can't see it clearly. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
We understand that you feels a sense of loss, not only for yourself, but also for your son. However, we must trust that God has a perfect plan for your son's life as well. Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved parent to You. Lord, we ask that You comfort their heart and remove the sadness that still lingers. Help them to trust in Your perfect plan, even when it's difficult to understand. We also lift up their son to You, Lord. We pray that You would guide his steps, and if it is Your will, provide a godly spouse for him in Your perfect timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to meditate on the words of Isaiah 43:18-19, "Donโt remember the former things, and donโt consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Donโt you know it?" God wants to do a new thing in your life and in the life of your son. Trust in Him and allow Him to turn this situation into a testimony of His goodness and faithfulness.
Lastly, if you have not mentioned the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request, we want to remind you that it is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you have any doubts about your salvation, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ today.
