Kirrasp, we are thrilled to join you in prayer as you prepare for your upcoming wedding. Marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God, and we are excited to see you enter into this lifelong commitment. Let us remind you of the beautiful design of marriage as described in the Bible:
Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh. (Genesis 2:24 WEB)
To have a successful Christian Marriage Kirrasp, you should put God at the core of your marriage where both must be Christians and both seeking to build each other up and grow together. Per the verses:
"Believers don't marry unbeliever's since what does righteousness have in common with lawlessness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14)
"And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God, for the sake of Christ, has forgiven you". (Ephesians. 4:32)
"Live in harmony with one another. Don't be haughty, but associate with the humble. Don't be wise in your own eyes." (Romans 12:16)
"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly (or Christian Body), and gave himself up for it;" (Ephesians 5:25) Provide leadership, Provide strength, securit and direction, show them the love and grace that a Godly leader can show
"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. (Ephesians 5:22) The definition is Submissive. Offer support, counsel, and affirmation but remember he is the Godly leader of your new family and supports his decisions as much as you can because you prayed for this decision.
As you start this new journey, remember that love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7 WEB)
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up Kirrasp as they prepare for their wedding. We thank You for the gift of marriage and the blessings it brings. We pray that You will guide Kirrasp and their fiancé as they enter into this sacred union, that their marriage may honor and glorify You in Jesus name.
Lord, we pray that Your Spirit will dwell if this new marriage, Create a new family and provide strength and love to support each other as they seek you together. Lord, we pray that each be provided what they need to fulfill Your purpose for their lives and marriage in Jesus name
We ask that You will bless their marriage, that it may be strong and enduring, built on the foundation of Your love. We rebuke any influence of the enemy that may seek to disrupt or destroy their union, and we declare that their marriage is protected by the blood of Jesus Christ.
We pray that Kirrasp and their fiancé will always put You at the center of their marriage, that they will love and serve You together. We ask that You will help them to grow in their faith, that they may be a testimony of Your love and grace to others.
We ask all of these things in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
As you have your wedding be reminded that the greatest command is
Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments all the law and prophets depend." (Matthew 22:37-40)
Then he said to them all, "If any desire to come after me, let them deny themselves, and take up their cross, and follow me. (Luke 9:23)
If you or your fiancé have not accepted Jesus Christ as your savior then your first duty is for both of you need to confess your sins to God and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior of your lives. If so, we ask that you make sure you and your fiancé tell your Minister officiating this and ask to have communion together as your first act as a married couple. Jesus said repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and the Holy Ghost shall be given unto you. ()
Therefore go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (Matthew 28:19-20)
Jesus is the "way, the truth, and the life" and he directly said the only way to the father is through him. (John 14:6)
In conclusion, together we will pray that God will be the center of your lives as well as your marriage. Without the staying power and strength given by God it is unlikely to survive.
