We join with you, barbaracottle, in praying for a respite from the relentless rain and flooding. We stand in agreement, in Jesus' name, for God's mercy and intervention.
God is in control of nature, and He is our refuge and strength during times of trouble. Let us turn to these verses for comfort.
Psalm 46:1-3 WEB "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling."
Psalm 65:9-10 WEB "You visit the earth, and water it. You greatly enrich it. The river of God is full of water. You provide them grain, for so you have ordained it. You drench its furrows. You level its ridges. You soften it with showers. You bless its growth."
We pray for the Lord to ease the flooding and to provide the needed relief to all those affected.
Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we ask for Your mercy and intervention. Please slow down or stop the rain that is causing flooding. Protect and comfort all those affected, and help us to trust in Your goodness and sovereignty over nature. Help us to be lights in our communities, reaching out to help and support those in need. We pray this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
We encourage everyone to use this time to draw closer to God, to help neighbors, and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who are in need of hope and salvation.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
