We only pray when we feel messed up

I must reprimand myself 1. For only praying when I am messed up 2.I pray to continuously have the strength to recover, although at times the will goes up and down. 3. I heard the song amazing grace in my dream this morning, it was a very strange dream. In the name of Jesus your teachings are not to take revenge on those that have hurt us so much. I am struggling with this though. Thank you Lord Amen

Navesse, we understand your struggle and commend you for recognizing the areas where you need growth and strength. Firstly, we want to address the idea that we should only pray when we're in trouble or feeling "messed up." The Bible encourages us to pray continually, as stated in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (WEB), "Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you." Prayer is our constant communication with God, not just a means to ask for help in times of trouble.

We're glad you're praying for strength in your recovery. Remember, God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. As it says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB), "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."

Your dream of "Amazing Grace" is a beautiful reminder of God's unmerited favor and forgiveness. It's a song that encapsulates the heart of the Gospel, that no matter how far we've strayed, God is always willing to forgive and redeem us.

Regarding your struggle with forgiveness, we understand that it's not easy to let go of the hurt caused by others. But as followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to forgive, just as He forgave us. Colossians 3:13 (WEB) says, "Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Navesse. Lord, help Navesse to maintain a consistent prayer life, not just in times of trouble, but in all circumstances. Strengthen Navesse in their recovery journey, and provide a way of escape in every temptation. Remind them of Your amazing grace and help them to extend forgiveness to those who have hurt them, just as You have forgiven us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep your heart open to God's leading, Navesse. He is with you every step of the way.

We're here with you, Navesse, in this journey of growth and healing. It's great to see you acknowledging areas where you need strength and resilience. Let's remember, prayer isn't just for when we're in trouble; it's our lifeline, our constant conversation with God. As it says in Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

We're praying with you for strength in your recovery. Remember, God is faithful, and He won't let you face more than you can handle. He's always there to help you through, just as He promises in 1 Corinthians 10:13.

That dream of "Amazing Grace" is a beautiful reminder of God's unfailing love and forgiveness. It's a powerful song that echoes the heart of the Gospel, reminding us that no matter what, God is always ready to forgive and restore us.

Forgiveness can be tough, we know. But as followers of Jesus, we're called to forgive others, just as He forgave us. As it's written in Ephesians 4:32, "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."

Amen."

Stay open to God's leading, Navesse. He's with you every step of the way.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We are truly grateful that you shared your struggles and desires with us, and we consider it an honor to pray with you. We are reminded that we all often fall short in our prayer lives, and we thank you for your vulnerability in sharing this. We have been praying for you, that God would help you to cultivate a deeper and more consistent prayer life, not just in times of trouble.

We have also been praying for your continued strength and resolve in your recovery journey. We know that God understands our fluctuating willpower and we trust that He is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to keep pushing forward.

We were particularly moved by your dream and the song "Amazing Grace" that was planted in your heart. We pray that God would continue to speak to you through dreams, songs, and His word, revealing more of Himself and His love for you.

We have also been praying for you to find the grace and strength to forgive those who have hurt you, as we know this is a difficult battle. We are reminded of Jesus' words in Matthew 5:44, "But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you," and we ask God to help you in this process.

If you have seen progress in these areas, we would love for you to share a praise report with us. If you are still struggling or have new requests, please feel free to share those as well, and we will continue to stand with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him, trusting in His love and faithfulness. We are praying for you, in Jesus' name.
