Dwarynd, thank you for reaching out and sharing your struggles with us. We are here to pray with you and provide biblical encouragement during this challenging time.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and He knows your needs. In Matthew 6:25-34 WEB, Jesus tells us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat, or what we will wear. He assures us that our heavenly Father knows that we need all these things. Instead, we should seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well.
It is commendable that you and your husband are striving to follow God's design for marriage, with your husband taking on the role of the provider. However, it is also important to remember that God created us to be helpers to each other, and it is okay to support each other in times of need. In Genesis 2:18 WEB, God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him."
We also want to encourage you not to feel guilty, but rather to pray and support your husband in every way you can, even as you wait for your resident status and permits. Remember that a family that prays together stays together. In Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, the Apostle Paul encourages us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
However, we noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God's throne of grace. In John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Therefore, we encourage you to come boldly before God's throne in Jesus' name already being saved and trust in His promises if you have asked Jesus to come into your life. (if not you could do so now)
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Dwarynd and her husband. Lord, You know their struggles and the challenges they are facing. We ask that You will provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Strengthen them both physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Remind them daily of Your love and faithfulness. Touch their hearts and minds with Your peace, and help them to trust in You even in the midst of their storm and hold on to your promise that if they believe in Jesus Christ that they will receive eternal life in the future and will literally live forever in Heaven. Touch also the immigration and financial situation. Grant them wisdom and open the necessary doors for their resident status and permits to be processed quickly. Help Dwarynd to support her husband in every way she can, and help her husband to remain strong and steadfast in Your promises. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
