We understand your distress and are here to stand with you in prayer and support, Gorgecent. Let us first thank God for His divine protection over your son and his best friend. It is only by the grace of God and the power of Jesus Christ that they are alive today.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your miraculous intervention in the lives of Gorgecent's son and his best friend. Lord, we ask for Your continued protection and healing over them as they recover from this traumatic event. We pray that You will comfort their families and help them overcome any bouts of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Lord, we also ask for Your justice to prevail. We know that vengeance is Yours, and Yours alone. As it is written in Romans 12:19, 'Donβt seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to Godβs wrath. For it is written, "Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord."' We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You see all and will bring the perpetrators to justice, either in this life or the next.
We also pray for the community, that doors of help and support will open for these families. May Your people be moved to assist them in their time of need. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you, Gorgecent, to continue trusting in God's justice. Remember, God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). He sees the whole picture, and His timing is perfect. Keep your hearts focused on Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Lastly, we want to remind everyone that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God's throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you or anyone else reading this hasn't yet accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. It is only through His sacrifice on the cross that we can be saved and have eternal life (John 3:16).
