We understand that you have fellowship at your home today and you're preparing food for your guests. You've asked for prayer that everything will be done in time and that you won't be rushed. We're glad to pray with you and offer some biblical encouragement.
Let's remember the words of Ecclesiastes 3:1, "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." God has given us time, and we should use it wisely, but also rest in His sovereignty.
Let's pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name to lift up our sister Carols. She is preparing her home and food for fellowship, and she needs Your help, Lord. Please give her the strength and wisdom to manage her time and tasks effectively. Help her to work diligently, yet also to rest in Your peace, knowing that You are in control of every detail. We ask that You provide for all the needs of the fellowship, that the food will be ready in time, and that Your love will be evident in every preparation. Most importantly, Lord, we ask that Your presence will be felt during the fellowship, that You will be glorified, and that everyone present will be blessed and drawn closer to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Please remember, Carols, that the most important aspect of fellowship is the coming together of believers to glorify and honor God. The food and preparations are secondary to His presence and the unity of the body of Christ. As it is written in Hebrews 10:24-25, "Let us consider how to stir one another up to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."
May God bless your fellowship and may His love be evident in every aspect of your gathering. If you notice that you're feeling overwhelmed or rushed, take a moment to breathe and trust that God is in control. His yoke is easy, and His burden is light (Matthew 11:30).
