We have an election coming up--some would say politics have nothing to do with our spirituality,but in a way it does--we have a party that's plugging for {and condones,even eggs them on}--gay marriage, abortion , etc. The other party is more conservative , and is in general not behind those things. So I DO think it's important that we choose wisely.Would you want someone in who would probably stifle our freedoms, come down against us while backing unGodly practices?That that party DOESN'T come to power.I'd say it's important.

Give thanks to God. We are together in prayer. It is written, "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authority for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. " (Romans 13:1-7) However, we as believers can pray to our God and Father to give us a good leader. ( Read: Acts 13:20-23) It says, "After this God gave them judges until the time of Samuel the Prophet. Then the people asked for a King, and he gave them Saul son of Kish of the tribe of Benjamin who ruled for 40 years. After removing Saul, he made David their King...........he testified concerning him, I have found David son of Jesse a man after my own heart, he will do everything I want him to do" (Acts 13:20-22) We can see that Saul was put on the throne by God just like David was put on the throne by God but Saul acted wickedly during his reign and God removed him and in his place he put King David. God now testifies that David was going to be inspired by God through his Spirit (man of my heart) .It is a mystery, our God is a Sovereign Lord. He is good and works everything for our good but solely to fulfill his purpose. (Read also, 1 Peter 2:13-17, 1 Kings 19: 15-18, 1 Samuel 26: 7,-11) . Leaders are appointed by God and our duty as children of God is to pray for the good of our leaders as given to us by our Father. The Father apponts, children pray. Now, we pray for all the leaders in the whole world for wisdom and understanding. In Jesus Christ name we pray Amen

Not always. When the Antichrist comes, and he wants people to take the mark, should the Christians around then take it, just to obey authority? Read, "WHOSOEVER obeys, as you say we should, and takes the mark of the beast, the same will be tormented in the sight of the Lamb and of the holy angels. "If I ruler asks us to do something that goes against God, that would be an exception.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
