We go through the phases of our lives, as kids we're carefree, as teenagers we're still pretty carefree, focusing on "fun things", and as I even went through my 20s, there were things that "meant things" I had that "zest." But now at middle age, to me, with all the things that have passed since then, from my childhood till now, this phase is in the past, and that person I knew is gone, {"moved on," died, etc. My parents gone. So with all those things behind me, I feel like just an old hasbeen taking up space. Depressing.
