Disciple of Prayer
We found out today that Jackson has Gastroschisis. It's a birth defect developed in the first few weeks of pregnancy where basically some of the babies intestines are outside of their little tummy. In his case, it appears to be small and a mild case but I have to be closely monitored twice a week at Norfolk General and will most likely be induced early and they will have to do surgery on Jackson shortly after birth and he will be staying in the NICU after I'm discharged. After surgery and recovery he will be sent home with us and he should be a perfectly normal little boy living a perfectly normal life The only thing that we ask is that everyone prays for our little one. We are praying for no further complications. This is definitely going to be a journey but one that we know will be worth it. We are blessed beyond blessed and thankful regardless of what comes our way. #weloveyou #jackson #gastroschisis #godisgood Phillip Morgan
P.S. He has 10 fingers, 10 toes, the sweetest face you've ever seen, and is DEFINITELY no mistaking it...a BOY! lol
