In Jesus name, we understand your desire for God to open doors and remove obstacles in your life. We want to remind you that God has beautiful plans for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Firstly, we want to address that the phrase "decree and declare" is not found in the Bible, rather it is used by false teachers and is associated with the New Apostolic Reformation and the false Word of Faith movement. Job 22:28 is often falsely used for decreeing and declaring things. But there are two things to note:
1. In Job 22:28, the decreeing is done by God, not by man.
2. The verse does not state that whatever we decree will happen. That is false teaching.
Rather than decreeing and declaring, we should pray and ask God for His will to be done. This is because God is sovereign, and His will should be our desire. We should follow the example of Jesus, who prayed, "Not my will, but yours, be done" (Luke 22:42 WEB).
Now, let's address the opening of doors. In Revelation 3:8 (WEB), Jesus says, "I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and kept my word, and didn't deny my name." This verse shows us that Jesus is the one who opens doors for us, and He does so according to His will and purposes.
We should also remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB). Sometimes, God allows obstacles in our lives to draw us closer to Him, to teach us valuable lessons, and to strengthen our faith.
Let us pray together for God's will to be done in your life:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your beloved Son. We lift up our brother/sister who seeks Your guidance and intervention in their life. Lord, we ask that You open the doors that You have ordained for them, and give them the strength and wisdom to walk through those doors.
If there are obstacles in their path, Lord, we pray that You would help them overcome these challenges, or give them the grace to endure and learn from them. We ask that You align their desires with Your perfect will, and that You guide their steps according to Your word.
Help them to trust in You with all their heart, and not lean on their own understanding. In all their ways, may they acknowledge You, so that You can make their paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach God and be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB): "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not already, consider accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and experience the fullness of God's love and grace in your life.
