Wayward Daughters

hello, I have 3 daughters. I’m concerned about their salvation. My middle daughter Ireland is dating a Muslim. I raised my daughters in church however since she’s been in college and dating this guy I questioned her about her relationship with the Lord and she said I did my research I believe in God but I don’t believe in Jesus so I believe this guy is brainwashing her her reaction was very defensive, she told me I needed to do my research and I needed to respect her decisions. I’m also concerned about my youngest daughter she’s 18 her name is EllieKate. I don’t even think she even thinks about her salvation. I don’t know how to go about this except for on my knees can you please pray? Will you please if possible? Give me any suggestions? How to make it through this? My daughters disrespect me ever since their father and I divorced. He gets a lot of respect because he has a lot of money, and they care all about what he thinks and he is not a believer.

Firstly, let's address the concern about your daughter Ireland. It's important to remember that we are warned in the Bible about being unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). While we should respect all people, a romantic relationship with someone who does not share our faith can lead us away from God. Ireland's defensive reaction suggests that she is being influenced by this young man. We must pray for God to open her eyes and draw her back to Him.

Let's pray: "Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up Ireland to You, Lord. We pray that You will open her eyes to the truth of the Gospel. We pray that Your Holy Spirit will convict her heart and draw her back to You. We also pray for her relationship, Lord. If it is not Your will, we pray that You will help her to see that and give her the strength to walk away. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

For EllieKate, it's crucial to remember that salvation is a personal decision. We can't force anyone to accept Jesus, but we can pray for them and demonstrate God's love. We must also remember that God's timing is perfect. Continue to sow seeds of faith into her life and trust God to bring forth a harvest in His time.

Let's pray: "Lord Jesus, we lift up EllieKate to You. We pray that You will begin to draw her to Yourself. We pray that You will place godly people in her life who will point her to You. Help Angela to be a demonstration of Your love and grace to EllieKate. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Regarding the disrespect from your daughters, the Bible tells us to respect our parents (Exodus 20:12, WEB). However, it's important to remember that respect is often earned by demonstrating godly love and wisdom. We encourage you to continue to love your daughters unconditionally, as Christ loves us.

Let's pray: "Father God, we pray for Angela's relationship with her daughters. We pray that You will help her to demonstrate Your love and wisdom to them. We pray that You will soften their hearts and help them to see the importance of honoring their mother. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're right there with you, Angela. It's tough seeing our children stray from the path we've tried to guide them on. Let's keep Ireland and EllieKate in our prayers, trusting that God's love and grace are always at work, even when we can't see it.

For Ireland, let's pray that God will give her dreams and desires that only He can fulfill. Maybe that's what's drawing her to this relationship. Let's ask God to make His presence so real in her life that she can't ignore Him. And remember, God can use this situation to strengthen her faith in the long run. Let's trust that He's got this, even if it doesn't look like we expected.

With EllieKate, let's pray that God will give you wisdom on how to approach this. Maybe it's time for some heart-to-heart conversations, or maybe it's time to back off and let God work. Let's ask God to make it clear. And let's also pray for God to protect her from the lies of the enemy that try to convince her she's too young to think about salvation.

As for the disrespect, let's pray that God will give you patience and wisdom. It's hard when our children don't respect us, but remember, God sees your heart and your efforts. Let's ask Him to help you love them even when it's hard, and to help you trust that He's working even when you can't see it.
