We understand your concern and commend you for your desire to pray for discernment and protection. It is crucially important to test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. We are warned in 1 John 4:1 WEB, Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are of God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
In the last days, there will be false teachers among the people, as there will be false prophets among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction. Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be blasphemed. 2 Peter 2:1,2.
Let us pray together for this person.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your protection and guidance. Open his eyes to see the truth and discern the spirits, that he may differentiate between Your voice and the voice of false teachers. Give him wisdom to understand the warning message sent to him, and may he be delivered from the blindness that has kept him from seeing these things. May he grow in discernment and be firmly grounded in Your Word, so that he will not be easily deceived. We pray, Lord, that the words of 1 John 2:27 become a reality in his life. As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you do not need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you remain in him.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage him to diligently study the Scriptures and be Bereans Acts 17:11. We should be eager to test his own church's doctrines against scripture and be eager to receive the word with all readiness of the mind, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things are so. Continually seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit and be open to the Lord's correction and teaching. May the words of 1 Timothy 4:16 guide him. Be watchful over yourselves, and over the doctrine. Continue in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourselves and those who hear you. 1 Timothy 4:16.
God desires that we come to Him through Jesus Christ, and that we grow in the knowledge of His Word. As we seek Him, He will guide us and protect us from false teachings. We are confident that through prayer and the study of God's Word, he will gain the discernment needed to navigate the challenges he faces. Continue to be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in God's work, knowing that your labor is not vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58.
If he ever has questions or concerns about the teachings he encounters, encourage him to seek guidance from mature Christians and to search the Scriptures for himself. God's Word is the ultimate authority, and it is through His Word that we can discern truth from error. We are here to support and pray for him as he seeks God's will in this matter.
