Warning! The Sins God Hate Most are Sins that Hurt other people

Perhaps you didn't know that the repercussions of sin are broad. Consequently, the only way for one to not know that sin spreads beyond the walls of the transgressor is if he or she lives in denial. "If you lived isolated on an island in the middle of the sea, then perhaps your private sin would not affect anyone but yourself. However, since the maxim is "no man is an island," there is a good chance that you have a family, or at the very least, friends and acquaintances that you come into contact with on a continual basis. All of them will be affected in some way by sin because sin has consequences." https://www.gotquestions.org/private-sin.html

Examples of sin metamorphosing is great in number. For instance, the church mother who forgets from whence she came and openly criticizes the attire of a young woman scantly dressed. Rather than take her aside, she opts to ridicule in the presence of other church members. " All things considered, just because a person has a good standing in the church doesn't necessarily mean that they are in good standing with God. Any person who spent decades professing to know the Lord, but evidencing the opposite in actions, has spent almost a lifetime perfecting sin. Turning God's people away is a SIN. What have you done if your only claim to fame is helping people who love or like you? How much effort and sacrifice does that require? hands-1047634_1920.jpg

God wants believers to reach out to people who resist or pose a challenge to draw in. Furthermore, the Father wants Christians to love people who on the surface may prove difficult to love. The homeless person who smells like a sewer instead of fresh flowers? The woman who has more children than she can feed, and no help in sight? Finally, the community where your church stands, do they know you? If not, perhaps its time to revisit the Bible to read what it tells us about the early church, which establishes the standards of the future church.

"For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness." Romans 12- 1-8

And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ. Acts 5: 42

I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a servant of the church at Cenchreae, that you may welcome her in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints, and help her in whatever she may need from you, for she has been a patron of many and of myself as well. Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, who risked their necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks but all the churches of the Gentiles give thanks as well. Greet also the church in their house. Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who was the first convert to Christ in Asia. ... Romans 16: 1-27

The time has come for Christians to pray and speak out! The time has come for Christians to teach. The time has come for Christians to do God's work and not just talk about what needs to be done, or about what is wrong with everybody but ourselves.

For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. Jude 1: 4
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, Ephesians 2:8

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5: 8

The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, Acts 17: 30

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3: 23

No matter how hard one tries to hide personal sin eventually consequences of that sin(s) comes to light. Essentially, there is no such thing as "private" sin. "For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open." Mark 4: 22. Our perception of the essence of sin seems to have gotten twisted somehow. And, this problem is not only prevalent among nonbelievers, but Christians have also adapted views of sin that don't line up with God's. Some even suggest that a little sin is not so bad, or that there is really such a thing as a "white lie?"

As unpleasant as this may sound, it must be said. "it is impossible to be born again and continue engaging in patterns of sin." The key word here is "patterns." Because no man or woman is perfect, not capable of not committing any sin at all, it is important to clarify what is considered as established patterns of sin. To make a long story short, "engaging in patterns of sin means living in sin, or demonstrating an attitude that takes committing personal sin lightly. Let's be clear, to be born again means putting on a new coat of armor, one that's shiny, as in clean. If a professed Christian's life resembles one of an unsaved person, then rejuvenation did not occur. Basically, they're still wearing the same old rewashed clothes. The problem arises in the wash, and with who is doing the laundry. God is the only One capable of washing our sins away. And, in cases where we refuse to take off the old and put on the new, God will not wash away sins deeply threaded within those garments.

To put it another way, "if nothing changes, then nothing changes."

Anybody who's been to a second-hand store can relate to the following anecdote. I like shopping at the Goodwill store, the Salvation Army store and other used clothing or used furniture entities. While there is no doubt that bargains galore can be had, they do not come without an undesired stench. To make items purchased from second-hand stores acceptable for wear or use you must eradicate that odor. The odor is so pronounced that some people with allergies can't even shop in second-hand stores. Dust-mites love second-hand stores. Interestingly, even clothes that have been clean before donated take on the stench of the uncleaned masses. Ultimately, when one accepts Jesus as Lord and Savor, confesses, and repents, He or she must put on NEW garments.

This speaks of a person who is a natural, habitual sinner without the benefit of the newness of life. For the born-again child of God—one who has accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior—there is a standard of conduct, both in private and in public: "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31). A born-again child of God has a desire to live to glorify God, and even though there are times when we can and do fail, God has made provision for us to be in fellowship with Him. He has promised that “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness”

23 But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against the Lord, and be sure your sin will find you out. Numbers 32:23

17 For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light. Luke 8: 17

6 But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. Matthew 6: 6

When Jesus returns, the situation at-hand won't be about the name of the church you attend, how many members it has, how close you are to the preacher, the number of auxiliaries in the works, whether the church acknowledges a "Pastor Appreciation" day?

To be reminded of the purpose of Jesus coming back, perhaps we should refresh our memory so that we can once again envision what the "early church" looked like.

Our daily prayer should be to have the heart of Jesus. Loving others, praying for their salvation and caring for them when they are in need. Satan wants everyone hurt, discouraged and weak but Jesus want us all happy, joyful and full of peace.
