As I stated in my previous post, much of what God has shown me has been confirmed. One of the confirmations that I received from God came in the form of a sudden tornado. I had been receiving so much hatred and backlash, and violence in response to the prophetic word spoken over this city that I wanted to make certain that God was being edified in my service.
On a Friday, late afternoon, early evening I simply asked God: “LORD, am I speaking the right word, and am I speaking it over the right city?” But, before I could finish asking the question, the skies darkened, the winds began to blow ferociously, branches began to blow into the tunnels below where I had been seated, and the hurricane proof windows in the high rise buildings began to shatter in the streets of downtown Houston. I received confirmation; and yet, given that the day and hour was at a time when few would be in the downtown area, it was indeed but a warning shot. But God didn’t leave it there. The Holy Spirit immediately led me to the following text:
The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, And will not at all acquit the wicked. The LORD has His way In the whirlwind and in the storm, And the clouds are the dust of His feet. (Nahum 1:3, NKJV)
There are so many eexperiences that I have to be share, and I will. But, there is much more, that has been given of the Holy Spirit, that I must impart in the teaching realm to those who have ears to hear.
This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength,” but you would have none of it. (Isaiah 30:15, NIV)
