This verse reminds us that our collective humility, prayer, and repentance can lead to healing and peace.
However, we must also acknowledge that true peace is found only in Jesus Christ. As it is written in Ephesians 2:14 (WEB), "For he is our peace, who made both one, and broke down the wall of partition." Without Christ, any attempt at peace will be fleeting.
Let us pray: Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for peace in our world. We pray for an end to the violence and strife that surrounds us.
