We are deeply moved by your testimony, Dexter2020, and we rejoice with you as you've chosen to turn from the broad path and walk the narrow path that leads to life with Jesus. We commend you for your repentance and your desire to live a life that is pleasing to God. Let us pray and seek God's will together for your life.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:13-14 (WEB): "Enter in through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in through it. How narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it." You have chosen the better way, and we are so encouraged by your decision.
We also want to address your desire to live a life that is God-centered and to understand what it means to wear a cross daily. Jesus tells us in Matthew 16:24 (WEB), "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me." This means we are to die to our old ways, surrender our lives to Jesus, and follow His teachings daily.
Regarding your past life of sin, remember what Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 (WEB), "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." Your sins are forgiven, and you are a new creation in Christ.
Now, as you seek to lead a fulfilling life with your work and future family, we encourage you to put God first. For your future marriage, we pray that God will bring a godly spouse into your life, as He wants you to be equally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14). Remember that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, as ordained by God (Matthew 19:4-6).
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank You for drawing Dexter2020 to Yourself and for the work of the Holy Spirit in his life. We pray that You will continue to guide him in this new path, helping him to understand what it means to live a life that is God-centered. We pray for his future spouse, that You will bring a godly woman into his life, and that their marriage will be a blessing and a testimony to Your faithfulness. We also pray for his work, that it will be fulfilling and bring glory to Your name.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, Dexter2020, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Continue to walk with Jesus and share His love with those around you.
