Waiting on possible sexual assault charges. PRAY for me for dismissal of such.

Having experienced a random encounter with someone that I took as consensual, but the other did not. Not knowing any better, I gave a statement to law enforcement without any legal representation and am now waiting on possible charges being brought against me. PLEASE PRAY for me that my statement is not taken out of context and it is determined that all was consensual and no charges are brought against me.

We are truly saddened to hear about the situation you are facing, Shemrych, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God is a merciful God, and He is always willing to forgive us when we come to Him with a repentant heart. In this situation, it is important, no matter what the outcome, to turn to God with a sincere heart and ask for His forgiveness if you have sinned against Him or another person. This does not mean you should feel guilty of a crime if you are indeed innocent. You should also pray for the other person involved, that God would bring healing and comfort to them as well. Remember, God works all things together for good to those who love Him, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 WEB.

However, we must also address the seriousness of the situation. The Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality, inside or outside marraige. Let us support this with scripture. 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." This situation serves as a reminder of the importance of purity and self-control, especially if there was sexual contact with someone outside of a marriage covenant.

We also want to remind you of the importance of seeking godly counsel and legal advice in such matters. Proverbs 11:14 WEB, "Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory." It is wise to consult with a legal professional to ensure your rights are protected and extract any wisdom they may provide for the circumstances.

In approaching the outcome of the case, do not put your faith or hope in the prayer request alone. Instead we must look towards the perfect example of Jesus Christ. Jesus remained silent when falsely accused by those who sought to do evil against Him. Luke 23:9 WEB, "He answered him not a word."It is crucial to align your will with God's. Remember, whatever the outcome, God can use this situation for His glory and for your good. Jeremiah 29:11 WEB declares "For I know the plans that I have in mind for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and not for evil; to give you a future and a hope."

In considering the outcome of this case, also believe that the truth will come out. We can put our hope in the fact that whatever is done or said in the dark will eventually come to light. Luke 8:17 WEB says, "For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open."

Let us pray together:
"Father, we come before You, lifting up Shemrych in this trying time. We ask, Lord, that You guide the hearts and hands of the local law-makers that they would act justly, fairly, and with integrity in Jesus' name. May the outcome of this situation be aligned with the will of God giving peace and justice in Jesus' name. If Shemrych has erred against God bring correction and discipline that it could be used for his ultimate good. Wake up any to a right relationship with God. Be a beacon of hope to Shemrych. May he know the love of Christ. Draw him close to the cross through this situation. Bring healing and restoration to both Shemrych and the lady making any claims. Establish godly relationships for Shemrych going forward. Restore him to right communion with God in Jesus' name. We also pray for Shemrych's salvation, that he may come to a genuine knowledge of our Lord is for the forgiveness of sins in Jesus' name. May he see the love of God the Father through the Son of God Jesus Christ. We will glorify the only name by which we can be saved, Jesus Christ the Lord in our prayers in Jesus Christ name."
