What a friend we have in Jesus, I am here to just praise and am simply awed by the unique ministry Lord has placed in my hands.
Today again we shall meditate upon the few scriptures from the bible.
King David was a king according to Lords heart, I cannot be surprised from the way he was so tender and attentive to the Spirit.
As we discuss the topic on waiting, we can be sure that it is not a topic or of much interest of this generation as everywhere we find youth want the work to be done fast and dont have patience. I know I don't have patience if lingers for too long. Yet Bible teaches us to wait.
There are some benefits on waiting, I will take the scriptures to support my views.
1. Waiting on Lord never brings shame on us.
Psalms 25:3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
King David is pleading to Lord that let those who wait upon Him should never be ashamed. When we wait upon the Lord He delivers us from shame and humiliation.
2. Waiting bring courage and strengthen our heart
Psalms 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
As we wait upon the Lord we get strengthened and have good courage, what does courage mean? We are God Dependent instead of self dependent.
3. Waiting as Lord provides help
Psalms 33:20 Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.
Lord is our helper, whenever we are stuck in any situation and we cannot find any help. As we wait upon the Lord He provides help and delivers us from the situation.
4. Waiting on the Lord as he provides rest
Psalms 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
In this world you have many tribulations but be of good cheer as the Lord has overcome them all. Do you feel envied that others are getting promotion even after they follow evil. Be of good cheer today Lord I telling you HE HAS ENGRAVED YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND. He has a plan which is for good and not evil to give you future and hope.
5. Waiting will help you in inheritance
Psalms 37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
Lord says trust not the riches, he has a true gold and silver and a mansion which are not built by human hands. As you submit your hearts to the Lord, be assured that he is a Father for you and has said that you are his son and daughter and heir of his kingdom.
6. Waiting for renewal of strength.
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Waiting on the Lord renews the strength and you will never be discouraged by failures. Eagles are birds which soar over mountains Lord has specifically mentioned about eagle because as an Eagle a believer also has problems like mountains and want to soar above them. So waiting upon the Lord will give him strength from the Holy Spirit to soar over the problem.
Today as you feel dejected be assured that Lord will provide complete rest to all your problems.
