Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up John Perkins and his family to You, seeking Your divine intervention and guidance. Lord, we thank You for the many blessings You have bestowed upon John, his wife Elizabeth, and their son Amire. We acknowledge Your sovereignty and trust in Your perfect plan for their lives.
Father, we specifically pray for Elizabeth Perkins as she prepares for her interview with the embassy this Thursday, July 11, 2024. We ask for Your favor and grace to be upon her during this important appointment. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." We pray that Elizabeth will experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding and that she will be confident and composed during her interview.
Lord, we also pray for the officials who will be conducting the interview. We ask that You would grant them wisdom, discernment, and fairness. We pray that they would see the sincerity and genuine intentions of Elizabeth and that her visa application would be approved without any hindrance. Proverbs 21:1 reminds us that "The king's heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will." We trust that You can influence the hearts and decisions of those in authority.
Father, we lift up John and Amire as well. We pray for strength, patience, and faith as they await the outcome of this interview. May they continue to trust in Your provision and timing. We ask for Your protection over their family and for Your guidance as they navigate this season of transition.
Lord, we also pray for Elizabeth's studies in the United States. We thank You for the opportunity she has been given to further her education. We ask that You would bless her efforts, grant her wisdom, and provide her with the resources and support she needs to succeed. James 1:5 says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We pray that Elizabeth would seek Your wisdom in all her endeavors.
We commit this entire situation into Your hands, trusting that You are in control and that Your will shall be done. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
