Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up Maud in prayer. Lord, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray for Maud, who is in a desperate situation seeking asylum, a visa, and the ability to work.
Father, You know the struggles and the pain Maud is enduring. Your Word tells us to cast all our anxieties on You because You care for us (1 Peter 5:7). We ask that You would envelop Maud in Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we pray for a breakthrough in Maud's visa application. You are the God who makes a way when there seems to be no way. We ask that You would move the hearts of those in authority, that they may grant Maud the visa she needs. Proverbs 21:1 reminds us that the king's heart is in the hand of the Lord; He directs it like a watercourse wherever He pleases. May Your will be done in this situation.
We also lift up Maud's need for work. Your Word says that You know the plans You have for us, plans to prosper and not to harm, plans to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that You would open doors for Maud to find employment, so she can support herself and her family.
Lord, Maud is suffering from severe depression. We ask that You would bring healing and comfort to her soul. Psalm 34:18 tells us that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. Be near to Maud, Lord, and provide her with the support and resources she needs to overcome this difficult time.
We also pray for Maud's children, who have been separated from their mother for so long. We ask for Your protection over them and that they would feel Your love and presence in their lives. We pray for a reunion, that Maud may once again be with her children and that their family would be restored.
In all these things, we trust in Your sovereign will and Your unfailing love. We pray in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
