Matthew 10:25 (b) If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they maligng those of his household.
I was recently confronted by a young woman who, almost in a rant of rage, quite erroneously in equating vindication with vindictiveness, accused me of being the devil because I asked God to vindicate me. And so, I address this issue because this is a perfect example of how those who lack understanding of what knowledge they do have, in attempting to touch spiritual things in the natural, fail to properly discern.
VINDICATE (transitive verb)
1: to free from allegation or blame
2: to provide justification or defense for : JUSTIFY
VINDICTIVE (adjective)
1: disposed to seek revenge : VENGEFUL; intended for or involving revenge
2: intended to cause anguish or hurt : SPITEFUL
Lest God authorizes you, as He does Jesus's disciples, to share another's testimony, it's best to touch not, for details being misunderstood, can be misrepresented. Only when you have lived one's testimony are you truly authorized to give one's testimony. God alone grants authorization to those who bear witness to give unbiased testimony of another.

WE'RE YOU THERE?
As a child of God not only do we forgive, we likewise have the inherent right to be vindicated. Whether that vindication is through exalting the innocent, bringing wrath upon the guilty, or both, is God's call; "For vengeance, saith the LORD, belongs to Me."
God is no respecter of man, not even my mother. Like the Pharisees, before us, we know not another's call nor assignment: John 17:4 [MSG] I glorified you on earth By completing down to the last detail What you assigned me to do. Therefore, we test not the spirits neither with provoking, hatred, unholy rituals, nor with disrespect; but rather we test the spirits with the Spirit, which is of Christ, through the fruit thereof: Love, Joy, Peace, Forbearance, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control.
Once more and again VINDICATE me O' LORD.

IN ALL YOUR GETTING, GET UNDERSTANDING
(Thanks to all who reminded me that Jesus's ministry began at age 30, not 12. For accuracy is how we help one another in preventing the devil from gaining a foothold.)
